Playtop
Poured playsurface with recycled rubber content
‘Playtop is a continuous, porous surface, mixed on site and wet poured in situ. It is primarily used to absorb impacts in a children's play environment and designed to reduce the risk of head injuries in falls from height. Playtop is made up of rubber granules and polyurethane binders in specific quantities and laid in varying depths to deliver the properties required. Playtop is also used as a surface for walkways and floor systems where a soft surface underfoot is required; for example on golf tees and paths. Playtop can be laid in set depths between 20mm and 140mm to achieve fall protection for heights of up to 3.0 metres. The finished product is made up of one or two courses of rubber, the base layer consists of large course granules of a grade 10mm - 20mm and creates the cushioning element, with the wearing layer made up of finer 2-4mm granules to provide a smooth finish.
Playtop are also able to exclusively offer Playtop incorporating Nike Grind - a flecked finish which incorporates recycled training shoes in the wearing layer of black surfaces.’
