Cradle to cradle solution dyed carpet tiles

'Desso is one of Europe's largest producers of commercial grade carpet and carpet tiles. Desso is fully committed to Cradle to Cradle® (C2C) manufacturing and has signed a partnership agreement with the Environmental Protection Encouragement Agency (EPEA), becoming the first carpet manufacturer in EMEA to adopt the EPEA's C2C design philosophy.

Desso has launched phase two of its C2C collection which includes the following advanced generation solution dyed nylon products - Airmaster®, Libra Lines, Libra Grooves, Manhattan, Neo, Neo Core, Patches, Pinto 580, Pure, Sand, Sand Stripe, Scape, Sienna, Stratos, Supira and Tree. C2C products are made from pure components that are easy to disassemble and are the subject of focussed ongoing development for future recovery and reprocessing. The carpet tiles are individually numbered and analysed for identification of components and emissions.

While carpets may be recyclable, it is vital to ensure that the recycling actually takes place. Under the C2C commitment, Desso has introduced a Take Back™ programme where used carpet is collected from clients, thus ensuring that they can be properly reprocessed, diverting materials away from landfill wherever possible.

Desso carpet tiles are ISO14001 and ISO9001 accredited and individually certified by the following recognised environmental authorities BRE, LEED (CRI Green Label Plus), GUT, HQE and GECA.'
