‘When a concrete deck has been specified, FOAMGLAS® is a cost-effective insulation solution due to its particular physical properties.
The need for a vapour barrier is eliminated as FOAMGLAS® is completely impermeable to moisture and will give added protection if the weather-proofing layer becomes damaged. Its co-efficient of linear expansion is similar to that of concrete so that normal thermal movement will not result in impaired roof finishes. In the event of fire, internal and external damage will be minimised as FOAMGLAS® will not burn or give off smoke or toxic fumes.'
