Wedi ‘Nonstep Plan’

Sound deadening underlay for rigid subfloors on uneven surfaces

‘Wedi NonStep Plan can be used where the floor surface is slightly uneven, though the floor should be thoroughly cleaned before application.

Plan is a 6mm thick 'mat' which consists of re-cycled rubber material blended with extruded polystyrene flakes and coated with a special flexible mineral sealing.

The mats are loose laid in a staggered brick bond pattern and the joints covered with adhesive tape to prevent sound diffusion. A layer of cement based flexible adhesive is then laid over the NonStep Plan into which is embedded 60cm wide Wedi TT60 reinforcement mesh, and the surface trowelled smooth. Tiling can begin once the adhesive has cured.

The process described above will achieve a minimum 14db impact sound reduction performance.'
