Thermalite ‘Large Format Blocks’

Aircrete concrete block, large format

‘Thermalite Large Format blocks have been specifically designed to complement Thermalite Thin Joint Mortar and offer considerable gains in productivity.

Blocks with a face size of 440 x 430 mm are equivalent to two normal concrete blocks, or twelve bricks, and are available in all standard thicknesses.

Independent tests by a team of Chartered Surveyors have found that the use of Large Format blocks in thin joint construction can lead to at least a 50% time saving, in comparison with the use of aggregate blocks and general use mortar. ‘
