‘One of the benefits of using crushed glass in this context is that all colours of recycled glass can be used - green, brown, blue, clear. Whereas this does not colour the tile density it does create an attractive finish. The properties of glass - lower absorption of moisture, relatively hard and non-variable - make it particularly suitable for a pedestrian roof tile.
The glascrete tile has the same characteristics and properties as our concrete tile. Extensive trials are being carried out and we offer this product as a reliable, sustainable and environmentally friendly product.’
