Hunton ‘Sarket’

bitumen softboard for expansion joints in concrete and protection to waterproofing membranes

‘Sarket is an 18mm thick, bitumen impregnated fibreboard, designed for use as a combined sarking and breather membrane.

The boards has been developed in Norway in close co-operation with the Norwegian Building Reserch Institute (NBI). Sarket also provides high level of insulation and deliver a demonstrably better thermal preformance than traditional roof felt products.
Board can also be used as cladding for steel frame structures, contributing to the prevention of cold-bridging. Prevents build up of condensation due to breathability.
