Isovlas

Flax-based insulation

'Natural thermal and acoustic insulation for timber frame, partitions, lofts, roofs and floors

Application
• Suitable for floors, walls, ceilings and roofs
• Ideal for use in a breathing wall construction

Performance
• Good thermal performance all year round (0.038 Wm-1K-1)
• Fire resistant (Euroclass C)
• When submitted to a flame test, the product chars rather than burns, with the charred area forming an extra fire protective layer
• Hygroscopic (absorbs and releases moisture without compromising thermal performance)
• Permanently antistatic
• High specific heat capacity (nearly twice that of mineral fibre) assists with keeping a building warm in the winter but cool in the summer - helping prevent summer overheating
• Resistant to biological and fungal attack
• Treated against insects and unattractive to vermin.
