Freerain 'Domestic Rainwater Management'

Domestic rainwater management

Rainwater harvesting is a simple idea, with the use of the appropriate technology makes a reliable and effective method of saving mains water.

With a Freerain rainwater harvesting system, a typical household can expect to save around 50% of their mains water needs. Secondly the inclusion of a rainwater system can help with water related issues during the planning process. Thirdly, in more remote areas, rainwater can be upgraded to fully drinkable standard (potable), by using non-chemical ultra-violet sterilisation.

Freerain is also able to offer separate components to integrate with any existing systems.

Rainwater system components:

Tanks

2000 litres
3000 litres
4000 litres

There are three standard tank sizes to choose from, with larger tanks available if required. Our polyethylene tanks, are so strong that concrete backfilling can be eliminated in most installation. This results in significantly reduced installation costs. With push-fit connections (110mm) and specifically manufactured for rainwater storage, this tank is specialist without being complicated. This is ideal for both self-builders and professionals alike.

Dome & cover

This feature replaces the requirement to build a brick access chamber or the need to purchase separate manhole covers. Which ensures an easier installation.

Filter

The cross-flow filter is housed in the neck of the tank for easy installation.
With an efficiency of around 90% and a simple low maintenance routine, making this filter the optimum choice. When the system is on overflow mode, the filter is automatically cleaned. An inspection of the filter and cleaning should be done every quarter, to maintain the efficiency of the system. The procedure is a simple 5 minute job.

Submersible pump

We have a range of pumps, which are of a high specification and are proven in service to deliver reliable performance. The standard pump delivers 4,500L/Hr at 4.55 Bar. With a service rating of 30 starts per hour for 10 years.

Control system

The Freerain controls are fully WRAS certified and come complete with a fully compliant automatic mains water top up system. They are supplied pre-plumbed and pre-wired to ease installation.'
