Fletcher ‘Boardwalk’

Timber substitute boardwalk

‘Recycled plastic sections, or profiles as they are reffered to, are being increasingly used not just for bench seats, picnic tables and flower boxes but more and more for bank revetment, boardwalks, decking, and riverside pathways.

Over recent years the quality of recycled plastic sections has greatly improved by way of better stability, a wide range of colours and a finish that matches the grain of real timber, but without the splinters.

The major benefits of using recycled plastic over timber are that the posts will not rot and the decking is non-slip, meaning maintenance (chicken wire) will not be needed every year.

Recycled plastic landing stages can transform eroding canal towpaths.’
