Graffiti protection and removal system
The Ecograff® system is a two part water-based system which is non toxic and non-hazardous and does not require the use of solvents or other aggressive chemicals to remove graffiti markers of all types from it. Unlike most other products, it is visibly neutral and also allows natural minerals to breath thus preventing premature weathering effects. Graffiti can be removed quickly from treated surfaces using hot water at low pressure which again prevents damage. The speed and completeness of the removal process significantly reduces fuel consumption by the power washer. The markers trapped in the sacrificial layer can, once dry, be removed safely rather than being washed away.
EcoGraff® is a protective coating system for mineral surfaces, which has been proven both practical and highly effective against all graffiti markers. Both EcoGraff® 1, the impregnation layer, and EcoGraff® 2 the sacrificial layer are non-toxic, non-irritant and are water-based. EcoGraff® 1 protects the mineral surface from penetration by paints, oil water and moss and allow it to breathe naturally. This is a semi-permanent coating which dries will last for several years if left undisturbed. EcoGraff® 2 is a specialised micro-wax coating and is applied on top of the dry EcoGraff 1 to which it bonds readily. Only one coat is needed for most surfaces and it dries in around an hour. The system becomes fully effective 24 hours after initial application.
Upon the appearance of graffiti on the treated surface removal is quickly achieved by the use of hot water at relatively low pressure from a standard power washer. Typically one square metre of solid graffiti will be removed in around 10 minutes after which EcoGraff® 2 is re-applied to the affected area which is protected again in around 1 hour. The paints and markers that are removed in the microwax sacrificial layer may be collected and disposed of responsibly when dry.
