‘Isowool Cavity Fire Barriers comply with the requirements of the Building Regulations (England,Wales and Scotland), meeting the criteria for cavity barriers, being both polythene-sleeved, non-combustible mineral wool and also tested to provide at least 30 minutes fire resistance.
Isowool Cavity Fire Barriers are available in two standard widths. 100mm for normal firestopping applications and 380mm for party wall/external wall cavity junctions.
They are made from a continuous strip of non-combustible glass mineral wool,compressed within a strong, durable, flanged, colour -coded polythene sleeve.
They are inherently resilient, and when installed under slight compression will mould to the contours of the internal cavity faces.
The products will maintain their physical integrity, and the glass mineral wool infill is capable of withstanding extreme on-site conditions and handling without fracturing.’
